I have spent 30 years working towards a healthy, accessible and just planet where we can heal from nature and then heal others. Every solstice and equinox, a global gathering of nonprofit leaders, activists, healers and people gather online to attune, heal and remember Mother Earth. I have had many extraordinary teachers and mentors. The 13 Indigenous Grandmothers, Barbara Brennan, Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, and so many more have helped guide my life, my professional path and my activism. Twice a year, I gather people for a 2-day Hands of Light training—where we look deeply into the areas of our body, mind, emotions and spirit that are in need of healing. Working with the earth requires a commitment—with your whole body. Every year, Blue Deer farm welcomes volunteers from across the world to connect with the soil, plants, sky and rain. After all, what can we possibly understand about our planet when we live in cities and rarely disconnect from our devices? This retreat in May 2024 is a chance to unplug, deeply root, watch the clouds, sun and stars and get your hands dirty.
